Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, supporting daily operations through access screening, credential checks, and security-related inspections of people, vehicles, and deliveries. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and use clear communication and customer service to guide visitors and drivers. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license, backed by a caring, integrity-driven team.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6+ months of security experience is required.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Screen employees, visitors, drivers, packages, and/or belongings as required at entry and exit points using approved methods and equipment, and follow escalation steps when items are not permitted.
  • Control access at gates and screening checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials when authorized, and documenting entries, exits, and delivery appointments.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including monitoring dock areas, trailer yards, and shipping and receiving zones. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
