Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a high-technology data center location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with incident documentation, and coordinating with site contacts as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity, identifying hazards and/or maintenance issues and reporting them through established channels.
• Monitor alarms, access control points, and surveillance systems as assigned, verifying credentials, documenting entries and exits, and escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Complete detailed shift activity reports and incident reports, maintain logs for patrols and access events, and communicate status updates during shift turnovers to support continuity of security-related operations.
