As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a utilities location, you will conduct regular patrols and help to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. You will interact with visitors and staff, provide excellent customer service, and utilize technology to support access control and communication, all while upholding our core values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and assist in controlling entry to restricted areas within the utilities location.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Communicate and coordinate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
Support emergency preparedness and response efforts as directed by site-specific protocols.
