About The Position

The successful candidate will attain a level of technical efficiency that allows the professional presentation of ESAB and its products. This position is accountable for the successful management of a sales region involving, but not limited to, direct sales responsibility of automated cutting machines and cutting machine retrofits.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree, or equivalent education/experience.
  • 4+ years industrial sales experience, with welding or related sales experience preferred.
  • 4+ years industrial sales experience, with cutting automation sales experience preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop sales solutions and close opportunities.
  • Key account management skills
  • Established project management skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to facilitate process changes in the assigned region.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics, and Power BI or similar database applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of cutting and automation equipment markets preferred.
  • Experience with shipbuilding industry a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Actively works with Field Sales Force and Distributor Network in targeting account penetration, qualification, relationship development, needs analysis, proposing solutions, and closing business of new cutting machines and retrofits.
  • Effective utilization of sales processes (Value Selling, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, etc.) that drives desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to sales leadership.
  • Develop a regional business plan to achieve sales goals and company objectives.
  • Responsible for improving customer satisfaction; accountable for resolving customer problems.
  • Fully communicate sales and marketing needs to sales leadership.
  • Formulate and implement effective time/territory management tactics.
  • Manage operating expense budget for assigned area.
  • Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight travel.
