The Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) Product team leads the strategy, development, and operation of payment services across the American Express Global Network. The team is responsible for safely and securely processing approximately $1.7T in annual global transaction volume, while delivering innovative capabilities to issuers, acquirers, and merchants worldwide. Our remit spans network operations, enhancement of existing capabilities, new product innovation, and end-to-end partner lifecycle management. Through proprietary and third-party solutions, we enable secure, seamless transactions that create value for Card Members and partners around the world. Secure Remote Commerce (SRC) / Click to Pay is a key strategic product within the GMNS Product suite. As an EMVCo industry-standard digital checkout solution, SRC delivers consistent, secure, and frictionless checkout experience across browsers, devices, and payment networks while supporting use cases like AI Agentic Commerce, in-car payments and traditional online checkout. We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Senior Manager to accelerate global adoption of Secure Remote Commerce across issuers and merchants. This product leader will drive cross-functional partnerships internally and externally, influence senior stakeholders, and collaborate closely with Technology to prioritize and deliver critical product capabilities. The role requires strong technical acumen, stakeholder leadership, and execution excellence to scale adoption and deliver measurable business impact.

  • End-to-End Product Ownership: Proven track record of leading scalable product capabilities across the full lifecycle — from strategy and roadmap definition through launch, adoption, and continuous optimization.
  • Strategic & Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate data, market trends, and insights into clear product actions and measurable outcomes.
  • Ecosystem & Partner Management: Experience collaborating with external partners — including issuers, merchants, FinTech’s, and networks — to drive product adoption and commercial impact.
  • Communication & Operational Excellence: Exceptional communication, executive presentation, and program management skills, with the ability to operate with pace and precision in a fast-moving, innovative-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy: Set the vision and multi-year roadmap for SRC across web, mobile, and next-generation commerce use cases including Agentic Commerce and EV charging open payments. Identify opportunities to embed secure, seamless authentication and identity into evolving checkout journeys.

  • Adoption & Scale: Drive global issuer, merchant, and partner adoption by translating market needs into compelling value propositions. Balance user experience, security, performance, and commercial impact to expand SRC penetration across traditional and emerging payment environments.
  • Cross-Functional Delivery: Lead across Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and Commercial teams to deliver complex initiatives in a highly matrixed global organization. Ensure clear documentation, disciplined execution, and speed to market.
