Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? We are seeking a Senior Quality Supervisor who has a true desire to lead and coach in a dynamic environment to maintain critical production plantwide. In this role, the Senior Quality Supervisor will provide direction to quality employees, leading employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts guided by our Roadmap and Control Tower objectives. Serve as primary operational quality lead for Pratt Powder. Direct the day-to-day quality and production deliverables and initiatives to include prioritization and completion of parts through the shop. Provide leadership and direction in the response to rapid changes in production requirements using daily toolbox meetings and effective communication plans. Achieve target performance levels through disciplined execution of the Standard Production System (SPS) including but not limited to: Tiered accountability, Visual management system(s), Leader Standard Work, Rapid identification of root cause and effective implementation of corrective actions. Hold employees accountable while maintaining a key working relationship. Drive World-class safety culture and respond to all EH&S requirements promptly. Be eligible for and obtain a CORE Apprentice and CORE Champion certification during the first year to effectively drive continuous improvement across the department and within the greater organization. Control quality, productivity, and process flow to meet MRP requirements while ensuring a high level of customer happiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, quality or closely related industrial environment OR a Master's degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in a team lead/supervisory/managerial capacity
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Understanding of conventional Quality related inspection and other machine shop inspection process and procedures.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Quality Management Systems and user of MRP/ERP/SAP systems used in production control, planning, manufacturing execution, and MRB.
  • Experience in obtaining, organizing and analyzing quality data.
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards including AS9100, & ISO.
  • Six Sigma or ASQ Certification.
