About The Position

OpenAI is scaling rapidly, and our Growth organization is central to bringing our technology to millions of users and customers around the world. We’re looking for a Senior Recruiter to lead hiring for Growth Marketing, partnering closely with leaders across marketing, product growth, partnerships, and go-to-market teams. In this role, you’ll own and drive recruiting for high-impact growth marketing talent—from performance marketing and lifecycle marketing to product-led growth, analytics, and creative strategy. You’ll work closely with senior hiring leaders to shape hiring strategy, map competitive talent markets, and deliver exceptional candidate experiences. You’ll collaborate with a world-class recruiting team—including recruiters, sourcers, and recruiting coordinators—while acting as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and senior stakeholders across the Growth organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of recruiting experience, with significant experience hiring for marketing, growth, or go-to-market roles in high-growth technology companies.
  • Proven track record recruiting for competitive growth marketing talent, including performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, growth strategy, or product growth.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted partnerships with senior leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities and evolving organizational needs.
  • A strategic mindset paired with strong execution—comfortable both designing hiring strategies and delivering results.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Growth Marketing leaders to understand current and future hiring needs across areas such as performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, growth strategy, analytics, and product growth.
  • Own end-to-end recruiting for growth marketing roles, from talent mapping and sourcing strategy through offer close.
  • Develop strategic sourcing plans to identify and engage top growth marketing talent across leading technology companies and high-performing startups.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and advise hiring managers using talent market insights, funnel data, and best practices.
  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from initial outreach through interview process and closing.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional partners across Growth, Product, and Marketing.
  • Drive creative outreach strategies, networking, and targeted campaigns to attract passive candidates in highly competitive talent markets.
  • Partner with recruiting operations and employer brand teams to ensure growth marketing hiring is scalable, data-driven, and candidate-centric.
