Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years’ experience as a Shipping Clerk.
  • Qualified to operate a Forklift.
  • Ability to operate a lift truck and previously attended a driver’s safety course.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Previous experience in the corrugated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order.
  • Transfer stock to and from trucks.
  • Store units of stock in the warehouse in an orderly fashion in order to expedite retrieval.
  • Support the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in order to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Make pick-ups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company van.
  • Understand and follow instructions on factory card.
  • Understand and practice correct equipment operation.
  • Operate wrapping equipment when necessary.
  • Unload and loads stock on trucks.
  • Documents materials loaded on and taken off trucks.
  • Responsible for shipping orders, forms, inventory tags and counts on materials received or shipped.
  • Assist the Forklift Operators to balance the workload, organize warehouses, and perform general cleaning.
  • Report any missing, broken, bent, or worn parts to supervisor or maintenance.
  • Complete the Forklift inspection form before start of shift and when operating a new forklift. Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
