About The Position

Weyerhaeuser’s Arcadia OSB mill has an opening for Shipping Coordinator. The Shipping Coordinator provides clerical and tactical support for the Shipping Department, primarily in daily Shipping and Transportation Functions, as assigned. The role is full-time and reports to the Shipping Supervisor. Standard work hours for Coordinator are Monday through Friday, 6:00am-3:00pm.
The wage for this role is $28.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer skills
• Knowledge of safety practices and behaviors
• Strong analytical, planning, organizational and time management skills with ability to set and organize priorities
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels
• Demonstrated computer and data entry skills
• Ability to perform accurate and timely data entry tasks
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform the essential job functions such as working in a 24/7 operating facility, to include ability to work in extreme temperatures and be ambulatory in an industrial environment with catwalks and uneven surfaces
• Inventory control and accuracy
• Support of safety programs
• Passion for safety initiatives and exceptional safety record
• Excellent attendance and performance records
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with contractors
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, which include climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, stooping, and bending
• Ability to work at heights, in adverse weather conditions, and in challenging physical positions without issue
• Willingness to cross train with other positions to create talent depth on the team
• Willingness and ability to learn and effectively utilize specialized computer programs
• Ability to make independent decisions and work safely without direct supervision

Responsibilities

• Working extensively within SAP
• Coordination and organization of loading activities
• Extensive communication with customers, carriers, truck drivers and Scalehouse personnel
• Assistance with inventory control and accuracy
• Support of safety programs
