About The Position

Responsible for Nelson Center research project management, assistance with curriculum development for badging program, administrative support, and services and program development as an industry liaison, and lastly, engagement with industry and academic communities in the areas of analytics, B2B marketing, B2C marketing, and measurement. Advocates and supports upskilling students with advertising & public relations analytics competencies across Moody College and UT Austin.

Requirements

  • 6 years of experience with Bachelor's degree in a field related to the work to be performed and three years experience working with programs and/or academic units.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organization, time management, and written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent customer-focused approach to working with others.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • Ph.D. in an advertising or public relations field preferred.
  • Experience with Syndicated Digital or Social Media Reporting.
  • More than the required years experience coordinating or administering a university center or program.
  • Experience researching or reporting digital or social media analytics for a brand, organization or educational institution.

Responsibilities

  • Executes and manages program scope, identifies processes, resources, roles and responsibilities, and industry contacts to meet Center needs.
  • Manages and contributes to ongoing research projects at the Center including annual analytics trends surveys, industry facing research with brand partners, and academic research based in the areas of analytics, AI, marketing, and advertising.
  • Administers program through coordination of student badging activities, routine communication, monitoring budget, reporting via syndicated data (industry) and badging success metrics.
  • Ensures Nelson Center communication to key stakeholders, ensures easy access to Center information, creates and distributes Center information via web, email and events.
  • Provides customer service, keeps management, faculty, and students up-to-date on Center activities, procedures and related administrative and marketing information.
  • Performs monthly and annual syndicated research on advertising and public relations entry-level analytics job opportunities and skills, and develops related graphs, charts, spreadsheets, correspondence, reports, and presentation materials, as requested.
  • Monitors Center for improvement opportunities by reviewing adherence to scope, client needs, and department goals.
  • May supervise a team of graduate or undergraduate student work/study interns or act as an individual contributor.
