About The Position

Reporting to the CHQ Senior Director of New Business Operations, the BD Operations Specialist plays a key role in enabling the operational effectiveness of the L3Harris Government & Customer Relations (GCR) organization. This position supports the execution of enterprise business development priorities by coordinating critical processes, managing reporting and analytics, and enabling senior leadership engagement activities. The role works closely with Business Development, Government Relations, Finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders across the enterprise to drive accountability, improve visibility into business development activities, and support the GCR mission of winning profitable new business. The ideal candidate is a highly organized and analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can collaborate effectively across teams to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience in business development / sales operations, or government relations. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and experience developing executive-level presentations.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly learn new tools and processes.
  • Experience supporting business development or government relations operations within a leading Aerospace & Defense organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the annual enterprise Priority Planning process, partnering with business segments to identify and track key priority opportunities.
  • Coordinate and manage senior-level bid review processes, ensuring alignment, preparation, and scheduling across stakeholders.
  • Support Quarterly Priority Pursuit Reviews and other leadership reporting processes.
  • Develop executive-level and board-level presentation materials supporting strategic reviews and leadership engagements.
  • Prepare briefing materials and engagement packages for senior executive branch customer meetings.
  • Provide reporting and presentation support to the CHQ Business Development leadership team.
  • Maintain and manage the Government & Customer Relations internal collaboration platforms, including Nexus and SharePoint sites.
  • Coordinate GCR team communications, town halls, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support special events and organizational initiatives within the Government & Customer Relations organization.
  • Maintain and manage the L3Harris Key Account Manager program, including quarterly updates and enterprise distribution.
