Requirements

  • Fellowship training in Sports Medicine
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABOS or applicable sports medicine board)
  • Eligible for Arizona medical licensure (MD or DO)
  • Strong expertise in shoulder pathology and advanced procedural care
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset
  • MD or DO with AZ license or eligible
  • ACGME ortho residency completed

Nice To Haves

  • Sports Medicine fellowship preferred
  • BC/BE in Orthopedic Surgery

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat shoulder conditions including sports injuries, trauma, and degenerative disorders
  • Provide advanced shoulder care, including arthroscopy and coordination of shoulder arthroplasty cases as appropriate
  • Manage all aspects of preoperative and postoperative patient care
  • Collaborate closely with onsite physical therapy teams to optimize rehabilitation outcomes
  • Optionally provide sports knee care based on interest and referral volume
  • Perform in-office procedures such as ultrasound-guided injections
  • Maintain accurate, detailed documentation within the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Participate in quality improvement and practice development initiatives
