The Sr Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for tracking WellSky's accounts payable process. The scope of this job includes ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. Requirements

GED or high school diploma
At least 1-2 years of relevant work experience
Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

Process payment transactions and ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice payments leveraging knowledge of various payment methods, including ACH, domestic and foreign wires, checks, credit cards and online payment portals.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex accounts payable issues with vendor and internal business partners in a timely manner.
Interact with management and other departments for invoice tracking and resolution.
Generate payment to vendors on a routine schedule and match the check with backup for review.
Assist with quarterly and year-end close activities, bank reconciliation, and complete internal and external audits in areas related to accounts payable.
Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances in order to reduce potential errors.
Assist with monthly status reports, audits and monthly closings, and provide backup support to other groups in the accounting department.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
