See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality: Position Overview: Responsible for ensuring compliance with US Customs for importing product into the United States and assisting other remote locations as necessary. Focus on quickly resolving trade situations that arise which prevent the rapid clearance of goods through US Customs. Assist with ensuring compliance and practice reasonable care in international trade. At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver. Essential Functions: Accurately process and transmit Import Security Filing (ISF) to US Customs within 24 hours prior to vessel departure date at origin. Accurately process and transmit Customs clearance entries via ABI within 5 days prior of shipment arrival at US port of discharge. Internal contact for information and documentation requested by Customs Brokers Collaborate with International Logisics to ensure that appropriate paperwork is provided for accurate receiving into Brunswick warehouses of imported shipments. Operate under import compliance policies and procedures Update operating reports daily to keep team members informed on ISF, clearance entries, and shipment statuses Review and retain files of various documents including commercial invoices, packing list, bills of lading, and arrival notices to ensure compliance with federal regulations Work closely with other support functions, including Sales, Finance, Purchasing, and Supply Chain Work with internal Trade Compliance and US Customs officials to obtain release of incoming shipments and resolve delays Communicate with freight forwarders and ocean carriers for shipment information Stay current with US Customs regulations and trade agreements Support and assist Trade Compliance Team with audits and various requests Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business or Accounting preferred
  • US Customs Broker License preferred
  • High School diploma
  • 8 years work experience in international transportation/logistics field
  • Prior experience working with Customs Brokers
  • MS Excel and Word skills required
  • Highly organized with focused attention to detail
  • Customer service skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interaction at all levels of the organization
