The primary function of this role is to drive the development of robust prototype build processes for our specialized equipment and products. Core responsibilities for the successful candidate include ensuring the effective operation and necessary maintenance of specialized assembly equipment. This specifically covers technologies such as laser welding, paste dispensing, press-fit PCBA and magnetic assembly, heat staking, and leak testing. Therefore, the ideal candidate must possess strong, demonstrated experience in setting up and managing these critical manufacturing technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional work experience in automotive or engineering product designs
  • Knowledge or experience with sheet metal forming and other component manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge or experience in product prototype or high-volume production builds and working with technicians/assemblers
  • Knowledge or experience in creating work instructions, rework process, and developing production intent processes
  • Ability to work independently and manage several challenging projects simultaneously
  • Product Supply Chain Experience
  • Proficient with CATIA V6 software, including part design, assembly design, and drafting
  • Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
  • Proficient with Google Docs, Jira, and Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly), including: Troubleshooting circuit Inspection of PCBA per IPC 610 standards Remove and apply conformal coating Cut trace, solder components, and add jumper wires per DCN BCPA fabricating process from the making of the bare board to board population.
  • Always maintains a positive and proactive attitude
