About The Position

Assist Manager/Director in providing overall financial management of the Outpatient and Clinical Coding Department in such a manner as to provide the resources and analysis to achieve our mission. Under the direction of the Director Outpatient and Clinical Coding, this position is responsible for assisting coding department staff in obtaining full and compliant reimbursement, supporting the coding and billing process review, billing analysis as it relates to the coding function, edit and denial management as it relates to coding as well as medical necessity issues. This analysis will then be utilized for staff training opportunities and enhancements to existing work flows. This position will be the key liaison between Coding and Revenue Cycle teams and will oversee 15-20 staff members which include Coding Support Specialists, Primary Care Coders, Specialty and Surgical Coders, and Educators. This position will also be responsible for managing coding work flow, productivity, performance and charge capture for any assigned departments. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Coding and Reimbursement, UHS Revenue Cycle Operations Primary Work Shift: Day Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Compensation Range: $33.63 - $50.45 per hour, depending on experience

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Three years coding and/or Medical Billing experience
  • 1 year Provider Education, Auditing, OR Leadership Experience
  • CPC, CCA, CCS, RHI, or RHIA
