Meet the team: The Software Test Development Engineer 2 plays a key role in validating Dexcom software products through systematic and comprehensive testing. The team develops and maintains quality standards across SDKs, firmware, mobile applications, and server platforms. You work closely with software development engineers to identify issues, strengthen functionality, and ensure product reliability. The team designs and enhances automated test tools, executes verification plans, analyzes test outcomes, and maintains thorough documentation to support debugging and continuous improvement. Where you come in: You design and develop end‑to‑end test automation for Dexcom’s CGM products and ecosystem. You create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to validate product functionality across the ecosystem. You validate software configurations, functionality, and user interfaces. You document software verification protocols and risk analyses for software used in commercial products. You record, track, and manage issues in the bug‑tracking system. You analyze failures and collaborate with development teams to identify root causes. You participate in software requirements and design reviews to provide test insights. You modify test protocols as requirements change and execute regression validation. You create traceability matrices to demonstrate test coverage for all features. You write detailed test reports and regularly communicate test progress to management. You follow internal software development, cybersecurity, and validation procedures that comply with medical and security regulations. You perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • You have at least three years of experience in software development or software test development.
  • You have a minimum of three years of experience using OOP languages such as Java and Python.
  • You bring knowledge of API‑based test development.
  • You have experience with xCode and/or Android Studio.
  • You understand best practices in software development and software testing.
  • You have strong oral communication skills and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • You have strong written communication skills and follow Dexcom software procedures to produce required documentation.
  • You have experience with software bug‑tracking tools (preferred).
  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, and a minimum of 2-5 years related experience or Master’s degree and 0-2 years’ equivalent experience
