Render is searching for a System Administrator to join a dynamic in-person team in a lab environment supporting Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). This role involves a range of system administration responsibilities, including: Conducting vulnerability scans using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS). Installing patches and ensuring systems are up to date. Creating system baselines and deploying images to field components. Managing system backups and recovery processes. Implementing security hardening using Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs). Maintaining accurate hardware and software inventories. Troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues. Our System Administrator will have hands-on exposure to Windows OS, Linux OS, cryptographic devices, and network equipment, making it ideal for someone looking to deepen their expertise in system administration and cybersecurity within a UAS environment.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (patching, Windows registry, Group Policy)
  • Active DoD 8570 Certification - Security+ (Plus) Certification
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Zero to five years of experience
  • The qualified candidate must be a US Citizen with an active/current DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in supporting DoD programs
  • Experience with vulnerability scanners (ACAS, Nessus) and STIG implementation
  • BA or BS degree in a technical field, including Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, etc.
  • Familiar with Security Infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of Linux Operating System
