About The Position

American Collectors Insurance, part of Philadelphia Insurance Companies is seeking a Systems Administrator II to provide high‑quality business application support. In this role, you’ll support critical Policy, Claims, and Billing systems while partnering closely with business units and senior management to ensure reliable, efficient operations. This position is ideal for an IT professional who enjoys problem‑solving, improving processes, and working in a collaborative, service‑driven environment. This role can be done in-office, hybrid or fully virtual from anywhere in the continental US. Our office is located in Mt Laurel, NJ.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in application or systems support
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify root causes
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow preferred)
  • Working knowledge of ITIL practices and SDLC concepts
  • Experience and proficiency with SQL
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong customer service mindset: responsive, collaborative, and consultative
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance industry experience preferred
  • Familiarity with ITSM platforms (ServiceNow preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver consistent, high‑quality support through phone, email, and ITSM ticketing systems
  • Resolve issues on first contact whenever possible and take ownership of complex issues through resolution
  • Manage incidents, problems, service requests, and user inquiries in alignment with ITIL best practices
  • Monitor ticket queues to ensure SLA adherence and prioritize work appropriately
  • Escalate incidents to development or support teams as needed
  • Participate in queue management and ticket assignment rotations
  • Support multi‑tier application deployments by reviewing release notes and following SDLC and Change Management practices
  • Create and maintain documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles for repeatable solutions
  • Identify, recommend, and help implement approved process improvements
  • Provide technical support and participate in special projects as assigned
  • Build strong working relationships with business units, senior leadership, and external vendors
