ADP is hiring an ERTC Tax Senior Manager in Alpharetta, GA. Do you have experience in federal taxes or credits, or in overseeing compliance programs? Do you have client service experience? In this role, you will: Be responsible for managing a group of 6 client-focused tax specialists focused on ensuring that the IRS and ADP processes requested client funds timely for our clients. Establish and maintain effective policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure prompt and error-free funds disbursement. Ensure accurate tracking of all funds owed and paid to clients. Oversee and manage Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC)-related audits and other investigations into misprocessed or erroneous processing of ERTC refund claims or reversals. Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and legal and assist in managing both regulatory and client inquiries. Monitor changes in laws and regulations and update compliance programs accordingly. Prepare and present regular reports on the status of the ERTC program to tax, finance, and accounting leadership as well as the TotalSource SLT. Foster a culture of ethics and compliance throughout the team, promoting awareness and understanding of compliance obligations. Manage and mentor ERTC staff.   In your typical day, you will: Review industry updates, changes, and alerts for applicable ERTC news.  Check on the progress of ongoing ERTC compliance your team is involved in and provide oversight and guidance as needed.  Analyze data and reporting to determine if key compliance metrics are being met and to identify trends, potential risks, and areas that may need attention.  Assist in responding to questions from teams across the business unit regarding ERTC questions/issues, collaborate with leaders across various departments (accounting, legal, finance, HR, training, etc.) to ensure we process ERTC claims timely and accurately. Advise leadership on pressing ERTC matters, including the status of ongoing concerns and potential steps needed to holistically address issues.  Leverage your project management and leadership expertise to further establish your team's daily activities, coaching and their professional development, creating an overall productive and enjoyable working environment for your team.   To thrive in this role, you must be able to look objectively at a situation and see alternate perspectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as law, business administration, finance, or a related discipline. A relevant advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • General knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations (specific PEO experience is a plus but not a requirement).
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage effective tax or compliance programs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough and objective investigations.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and managing audits.
  • Strong ethical compass and commitment to integrity.
  • Excel skills are a must
