Where Your Career is a Force for Good! The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Summer Intern within the Training Services Department to support the Training Operations (HealthCare) team. This is a remote position with limited travel. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview): The Training Services Summer Internship Program offers undergraduate and graduate students an opportunity to gain work experience in a non-profit organization. During the 10-week program , students receive training and develop their skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced professionals. The 2026 Summer Internship program will run from Monday June 1, 2026, and concludes on Friday, August 7, 2026. The Training Operations Intern supports workforce expansion efforts by strengthening outreach, recruitment strategy, and market analysis initiatives. This role focuses on identifying, attracting, and engaging qualified healthcare contractors to meet growing operational demand for NALS (Neonatal Advanced Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), ALS (Advanced Life Support), and BLS (Basic Life Support). Key responsibilities include conducting targeted outreach, developing a comprehensive recruitment guide, performing salary and market competitiveness analyses, evaluating geographic market coverage, and identifying workforce gaps. The intern will research industry trends, benchmark compensation, and assess supply-and-demand dynamics to inform strategic decision-making. Additionally, the intern will develop a structured recruitment strategy plan designed to meet current and projected demand, including sourcing channels, pipeline development, engagement tactics, and performance metrics. This role provides hands-on experience in healthcare workforce planning, data-driven recruitment strategy, and operational scaling.
