About The Position

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Full Time, Trauma Program Manager to join our team! Position Summary/ Essential Duties: The Trauma Program Manager in conjunction with the Trauma Medical Director (TMD) and Chief of Surgery, provides leadership for the CMMC Trauma Program. This includes: Administrative Role: Provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational goals and objective Completes reports, statistics, and other duties as requested by the President, Vice President, Director of Surgical Practices, and/or Trauma Program Medical Director Represents the Trauma Program on various hospital committees. Coordinates American College of Surgeons’ Trauma Center Surveys. Assist with the budgetary process for the trauma program Directs and oversees all aspects of the Trauma QI program including preparation of data for Trauma Committee, Trauma QI Committee, and others as requested. Assumes responsibility for process and oversees PI activities as they relate to nursing and ancillary personnel involved in the care of the trauma patient. Oversight and responsibility for Trauma Registry data collection, accuracy and routine reporting. Partners with the TMD in the development of clinical protocols, policies, practice management guidelines and oversight of the Trauma program. Provide educational opportunities for staff development Liaison between Trauma Services and various departments providing trauma care Liaison with the state of Maine, Trauma Advisory Committee, Life Flight of Maine, Regional 2 EMS and other trauma centers as necessary Injury Prevention Role: Establish and promote trauma care programs and community education regarding trauma care and prevention. Supervises Injury Prevention Program

Requirements

  • Healthcare professional with critical care, prehospital or emergency room experience.
  • RN, BSN preferred
  • Current or obtain membership in a National or Regional trauma organization.
  • Obtain 12 hours of trauma- related continuing education (CE) during initial verification cycle and 36 hours after verification.
