About The Position

Equivity is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Virtual Legal Assistant to support attorneys across a variety of practice areas. This full-time role follows standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9AM to 6PM. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships while managing the essential administrative functions that keep law firms running smoothly. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 1 year of legal assistant experience
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities in a remote environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Quiet, professional home office setup

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with legal CRMs such as Clio is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate deadlines
  • Proofread, format, and edit legal documents
  • Communicate with clients and provide case updates
  • Oversee email inboxes and ensure timely, professional responses
  • Draft cover letters and basic correspondence
  • Handle billing tasks, including time entry, invoice preparation, and follow-up
  • Open and close client files
  • Organize and maintain digital files to support efficient case management
  • Coordinate with process servers and facilitate service of process
  • Provide general administrative support to attorneys and their teams
