About The Position

The student will work on a project integrating atomic layer deposition (ALD) and electrochemistry to study how ultrathin oxide films control interfacial charge transfer and reaction selectivity. The project will focus on synthesizing semiconducting oxide coatings (e.g., TiO ₂ , SnO ₂ ) using ALD and evaluating their electrochemical behavior using techniques such as voltammetry and rotating disk electrodes. The goal is to understand how engineered oxide interfaces influence catalytic activity and stability in energy and environmental electrochemical reactions. The student will gain experience in thin-film characterization, electrochemical measurements, and data analysis and presentation.
