About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Warehouse Specialist to join our team in Hanahan, SC. This position is 100%25 on site. The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for: Preparing and arranging materials, products and kits in bulk and non-bulk forms for distribution or storage Managing Inventory both physically and virtually Moving and loading or unloading equipment, materials, and products Operating or tending pipelines pumps and valves to transfer liquids Driving forklifts and related material-handling machinery and equipment Using scoops, hand trucks, and wheelbarrows to load and move materials. As directed, the Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment This worker may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED equivalent.
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Tools (Word and Excel in particular).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
