Eaton’s ARS division is currently seeking a Warranty Technician to join the team. This position is based at our Sumter, SC manufacturing facility. The expected annual salary range for this role is $47000 - $69000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. What you’ll do: In the Warranty Technician role, you will resolve warranty claims and issues. You will be responsible for interacting with personnel inside and outside the plant including customers, satellites, distributors, assembly groups, supply chain, logistics, etc. Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. Essential Functions Include: Contribute to a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture by complying with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing daily 5S duties. Troubleshoot and respond to warranty requests and authorize warranty charges appropriately. Contribute to ensuring lessons learned from warranty analysis are communicated to the appropriate internal and external personnel, this is critical to mitigate repeat exposure of customer complaint. Coordinate 3rd party electrical contractor services. Identify and analyze trends in Warranty instances and provide technical support to all internal department to maintain and improve overall outgoing product quality. Ensure compliance and assistance with adherence to the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) which includes following documented work instructions, proposing documentation updates based on process changes, clearly documenting warranty investigations and field actions. Adhere to established service level agreements regarding warranty complaint acknowledgement and responses. What will make you successful? Utilizing strong communication skills, you are able to effectively influence cross‑functional partners. The role requires working knowledge of basic electrical principles, ISO 9000, and the operation and functionality of Panelboard, Switchboard, and Fabrication processes. You will actively participate in quality-related problem-solving initiatives, applying strong analytical skills.
