About The Position

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Workforce Development, the Workforce Development Coordinator is responsible for the processing, coordination, and support of Workforce Development services and other mission-related community engagement activities, as necessary. This position will assist with the development and coordination of employment activities, serve as a liaison with public and private employers to develop employment opportunities for program participants; assist program participants with skills needed for successful employment; and administer assessments. This position continually upholds the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organization. Conducts intake, assessment, instruction, evaluation, and coaching for workforce development participants referred by agencies such as the California Department of Rehabilitation, Regional Centers, and other partners. Delivers instruction through GoodU and related training programs using individualized, person-centered, and demand-driven approaches. Reviews curriculum and recommends modifications to support participant achievement and appropriate accommodations. Maintains accurate, timely program documentation, including participant records, reasonable accommodations, critical incidents, and compliance-related files. Uses web-based data systems to track participant progress, assignments, service timelines, and reporting requirements. Prepares, submits, and supports required program, performance, and billing reports in accordance with contractual and funding requirements. Provides prompt, high-quality feedback on assignments and ensures completion of grading and evaluations. Delivers workforce development and life skills services aligned with participant goals and employer needs. Assists with referrals to support services and follows up to ensure services meet participant needs. Supports program expansion, mission integration, and co-enrollment efforts across Goodwill programs and community partners. Builds and maintains strong relationships with referring agencies, employers, and community stakeholders through outreach, meetings, job fairs, and presentations. Represents the organization in public relations activities, including success stories, media content, and community engagement efforts. Supports staff by reviewing documentation for accuracy and timeliness, providing coaching and feedback, and ensuring use of current forms, tools, and procedures. Coordinates receipt and processing of new service authorizations, including waitlist management and accurate data entry in SharePoint and other systems. Assists the Workforce Development Manager with tracking invoices. Supports staff training, morale, collaboration, and professional development. Ensures compliance with all organizational policies, CARF standards, and applicable financial, regulatory, safety, and security requirements. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must have access to reliable transportation with the ability to travel to multiple locations in a single day that does not interfere with performing the essential functions of the job description, cause tardiness, or unexcused absences.
  • Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must pass a drug screening and maintain compliance with the organization’s drug and alcohol policy.
  • Must pass a background screening and maintain compliance with the organization’s associated polices.
