Workplace Manager, North America The Workplace Manager, North America is a strategic operations and people leadership role responsible for delivering a consistent, efficient, and high-quality workplace experience across Flexport’s North American offices. This role leads Workplace Associates, owns core workplace operations, and drives continuous improvement across processes, vendors, and service delivery. As the connective tissue between employees, leaders, and partners, the Workplace Manager ensures our offices are run with operational rigor while maintaining a people-first, hospitality-driven experience that supports Flexport’s culture and business priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in workplace operations, facilities, or office management, including people management.
  • Proven experience improving processes and scaling operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong vendor procurement, contract management, and budget ownership experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused.
  • A people-first mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and manage Workplace Associates, setting clear expectations and ensuring consistent service standards.
  • Own and improve workplace processes, including ticketing workflows, office operations, access management, and onboarding/offboarding support.
  • Drive operational efficiency by identifying gaps, reducing manual work, and standardizing practices across North America.
  • Manage workplace vendors end-to-end, including procurement, contracts, performance management, and cost optimization.
  • Partner closely with General Managers, People, IT, Security, and Finance to align workplace operations with business needs.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for workplace issues, balancing urgency, employee experience, and operational impact.
  • Oversee office readiness, safety, and compliance, ensuring spaces are functional, welcoming, and aligned with Flexport standards.
  • Support in-office events and programming that foster connection and culture.
