As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with calm, clear communication, document key observations, and support onsite staff and visitors with respectful customer service. Requirements

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment as assigned for an armed post, following post orders, use-of-force guidance, and all applicable licensing and training requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Complete detailed security-related reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations promptly to supervision and site contacts.
