As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will perform routine mobile patrols, maintain a highly visible presence, and document and report security-related activity with clear communication and customer service. This is an armed, driving post requiring a valid driver’s license and an armed guard card or license. Requirements

• Have 1 or more years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have an armed guard card and/or license.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be 21 or more years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed at a utility location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, yards, parking areas, and perimeter lines, watching for unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations that may help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor and control access at gates, entrances, and/or checkpoints by verifying credentials, logging visitor and vehicle activity, and directing traffic flow when required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public responders and documenting actions taken.
• Complete detailed reports on patrols, alarms, incidents, and maintenance concerns, and communicate key information during shift briefings and/or post orders updates.
