About The Position

We’re looking for a Business Development Associate at Weee! to help deliver incredible food experiences to our customers while driving revenue in one of our fast growing regions. In this role, you’ll support the expansion of our Local Marketplace by helping identify and reach out to potential restaurant and vendor partners, sharing the value of our marketplace, assisting with onboarding, and helping maintain positive early relationships. This is a great opportunity to learn the full partner acquisition process and make an impact on a fast-growing team. This role is onsite 5 days a week in Hodgkins, IL

Requirements

  • 1+ years of direct business development or sales experience
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese (Majority of our current restaurant vendors speak Chinese so it will be important to be able to effectively communicate in order to build strong relationships)
  • A dynamic personality with a customer focused mindset
  • Strong curiosity and always search for creative solutions
  • Persistence and passion for driving sales
  • Adapt to new situations quickly and think on your feet

Responsibilities

  • Relationship Building and Collaboration: Research, identify, establish and nurture relationships with local restaurants, bakeries, and food providers. Maintain regular communication with vendors to ensure alignment and maximize business potential.
  • Business Growth and Ownership: Partner with Local Marketplace Lead and support strategies to expand the vendor base and grow business revenue.
  • Vendor Onboarding and Support: Communicate the value proposition of Weee!'s platform to local vendors and successfully onboard them. Guide vendors in updating product listings, vendor policies, and online menus. Assist restaurants in maintaining accurate menu information, including pictures and pricing.
  • In-Person Engagement: Visit restaurants and local shops and engage with owners in person to promote Weee!'s services. Build rapport and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders within the restaurant industry.
  • Feedback and Communication: Gather valuable feedback from vendors and effectively communicate it to the tech, product, and customer service teams. Contribute insights to improve the platform's features and address vendor concerns promptly.
  • Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling promotional banners and content. Support the distribution of promotional emails to customers, highlighting the offerings of partner restaurants.
