About The Position

The Cage Manager supervises and directs the Casino Cage Department. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Performs the duties of all cage positions. 2. Interviews, hires, coaches and develops shift managers, supervisors and cashiers. 3. Plans budgets and schedules staff necessary to meet operational needs. 4. Plans, participates and/or attends required meetings and training sessions for Human Resources applications, regulatory seminars and policy development. 5. Completes special projects as designated by management. Trains cage team members on departmental and company policies. 6. Maintains a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understands and complies with all information security policies and procedures at all times. 7. Maintains the confidentiality of all gaming records. 8. Provides exceptional guest service to all guests and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintains a professional work environment with peers, supervisors, managers, and all other team members. 9. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. 10. Completes all required SGC Training programs within specified guidelines from commencement of employment. 11. Attends all necessary meetings. 12. Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed; other duties may be assigned. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • Five (5) years of experience in Cage Operations and a minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience is required.
  • Financial and management experience using computer and/or adding machines required.
  • Ability to make decisions and direct others; make decisions and interact with guests in a pleasant and friendly manner, speak in public and communicate ideas and concepts.
  • Must demonstrate leadership, fairness, and sensibility to guests and team members.
  • Must possess the ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in subordinate team members.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, team members and guests.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with guests and team members.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with guests, management, team members, and members of the business community in all situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Management preferred.
