BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position) : Responsible for managing all Cage and Soft Count operations in accordance with generally accepted industry standards. Produces and maintains all required records and reports. Analyzes and reports on results of Cage and Softcount activities.

Requirements

  • High school graduate; college graduate or some college preferred, with emphasis on business subjects.
  • Minimum three years Cage supervisory experience; demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of Cage operations and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of all other areas of casino operations; prefer five or more years of casino or banking experience with Tribal casino experience ideal.
  • Team oriented with an emphasis on building positive relationships internally and with other departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and mange staff and maintain Cage operations in accordance with prescribed standards.
  • Minimum two year's computer experience with proficiency in working with spreadsheets; ability to utilize word-processing and other appropriate software to produce results.
  • Professional appearance and a leadership style that aligns with the casino values with a proven record of operating with high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
  • Ensures that the Title31 program is departmentally implemented and followed.
  • Provides professional supervision and direction to Cage team members; resolves problems; makes sound decisions.
  • Analyzes Cage data; produces and maintains all required record and reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure departmental staff are updated and informed of all company-wide programs and initiatives.
  • Coordinates Cage activities with other departments to ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.
  • Inputs and monitors variance and attendance violations; investigates variances and disputes.
  • Reviews Revenue Audit Housekeeping Errors with Cage personnel and determines appropriate courses of action.
  • Interacts with Cage guests as necessary to resolve issues and handle disputes.
  • Establishes and maintains appropriate security measures to protect confidential company information and property.
  • Review, develop, update and implement departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the training and development of all cage personnel in the execution of duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.
