The CBO Team Lead is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to assisting a Central Business Office (CBO) Supervisor and CBO Manager/Director in revenue life cycle management. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Customarily has at least two or more years of accounts receivable and medical billing experience
  • Concentra Core Competencies of Service Mentality, Attention to Detail, Sense of Urgency, Initiative and Flexibility
  • Ability to make decisions or solve problems by using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions
  • Outstanding customer service skills as well as the ability to deal with people in a manner which shows tact and professionalism
  • The ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information (including HIPAA and PHI) in accordance with federal and state laws and company policies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge
  • Effective customer service and written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight time schedule as well as handle and prioritize tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Some college or specialty training in revenue cycle or equivalent job relevant experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform lead duties in CBO areas, such as Cash Application, Accounts Receivable, and Billing
  • Train colleagues on policies and procedures. Provide orientation for new colleagues.
  • Assist CBO Supervisors/Managers in process management
  • Assist colleagues with implementing CBO initiatives
  • Assist colleagues with problem resolution
  • Schedule department work and assign tasks
  • Provide input to Supervisor about colleague performance
