The Agency for Health Care Administration is Florida's chief health policy and planning entity. The Agency is responsible for administering the Florida Medicaid program, the licensure and regulation of nearly 50,000 health care facilities, and empowering consumers through health care transparency initiatives. Harris, the Agency is focused on advancing Governor DeSantis’ vision for Florida’s health care system to be the most cost-effective, transparent, and high-quality health care system in the nation. The Agency for Health Care Administration is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Distributed Computer Systems Analyst within the Division of Information Technology (IT), Bureau of Customer Service & Support (CSS). CSS is committed to supporting the Agency's mission by providing high-quality customer service and enterprise-wide integrated desktop solutions with Help Desk and on-site user support. CSS also administers the Microsoft SharePoint platform for the Agency. CSS continually endeavors to improve the quality of the services offered and implements new technologies to support Agency business unit needs. This position is responsible for coordinating the use, maintenance, and upgrading of personal computers, mobile devices, and networked multi-function copier/printer/scanner/fax devices within a multi-bureau area office. This position reports directly to the System Project Administrator who manages the area offices. The incumbent will resolve or coordinate the resolution of equipment and software problems. The incumbent, if a need is identified, will assist area office management in the evaluation of software and hardware that may facilitate more efficient business operations. Travel may be required, dependent upon budgetary limitations. This position performs the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of hardware and software for the area office personal computers and LAN components. Review and evaluation of new technology and components may be requested or required from time to time. This position serves as the liaison between the Division of Information Technology, Bureau of Customer Service & Support, and the area office agency staff in matters relating to day-to-day personal computer operation. Day-to-day operations include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems and arranging for warranty service when available. These efforts shall be coordinated with the Systems Project Administrator for area office operations as necessary. This position will maintain an accurate inventory of all personal computers. This is achieved by ensuring a regular and periodic connection of such equipment to the AHCA network to activate the automated software inventory. The incumbent will participate in professional development activities, dependent upon existing budget opportunities. This position has been identified as mission-essential. The incumbent in this position may be required to work during the weekend or on holidays. In addition, mission essential personnel will be required to work during disasters, to include but not limited to, work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency work may involve the incumbent working in another county or staffing location to assist other State Agencies with emergency work. Emergency duties may include, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural. The incumbent will complete AHCA IT Information System Development Methodology (ISDM) documentation as needed for system documentation purposes. Perform other duties as required.
