About The Position

The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, safety, and efficiency of company facilities. This role ensures that buildings, equipment, and infrastructure are well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and support the organization's operational needs. The Facility Manager coordinates maintenance staff, vendors, and contractors while managing budgets and improving facility performance. Job Description Facility Operations Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs. Coordinate repairs and maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems. Monitor facility systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Develop and manage facility budgets & Identify opportunities for cost savings / Energy Improvements. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including production, engineers, and other facilities team members, to ensure project deliverables meet requirements and expectations with minimal impact to operations. Manage office layouts, workspace planning, and facility improvements. Track facility assets, equipment, and maintenance records. Support facility upgrades, renovations, and expansions Vendor & Contractor Management Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers. Negotiate service contracts and ensure work meets quality standards. Supervise contractors performing maintenance, construction, or renovation work. EHS Conduct regular facility inspections and risk assessments. Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local ordinances. Team Management Supervise facility staff, maintenance technicians, and custodial teams. Provide training, scheduling, and performance management. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in facility management, building operations, or maintenance management.
  • Proven track record of managing complex facilities, including maintenance, repair and operations.
  • Experience with project management, including capital projects and construction management.
  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, and maintenance teams.
