About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our sawmill team. The ideal candidate will have prior forklift experience in an industrial setting and a strong attendance record. This position plays a critical role in safely moving lumber and materials throughout the facility to support production and shipping

Requirements

• Proven forklift operating experience (sawmill or industrial experience preferred)
• Strong safety awareness and operating skills
• Good attendance and reliability required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-noise industrial environment
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Ability to sit, twist, and operate equipment for extended periods
• Ability to climb in and out of forklift multiple times per shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed

Nice To Haves

• sawmill or industrial experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload lumber and materials
• Transport finished products to designated storage or shipping areas
• Supply production lines with necessary materials
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns
• Maintain accurate load counts and proper material placement
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
