The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization. With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system. Position Summary: The PeopleSoft Developer designs applications and customizes its functions for the organization. By using PeopleSoft tools and other programming languages, the developer creates and improves the application. The developer also tests systems and applications to ensure proper and efficient functioning.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of overall technical experience in system design, project development and production support of PeopleSoft HCM applications.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft application development utilizing PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 (or newer versions preferred) and PeopleTools 8.51 framework (or newer versions preferred).
  • Technical proficiency in utilizing the following PeopleSoft development technologies: PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, PS/Query, SQR, Crystal Reports, XML Publisher.
  • Knowledge of Oracle databases, UNIX environment, Shell Scripts, SQL, XML and encryption technologies.
  • Good working knowledge of PeopleSoft Advanced Tools such as Application Package, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, Business Interlinks, Workflow, Object Oriented PeopleCode etc.
  • Proven track record of successful implementation of all project life cycle stages from requirements gathering through implementation and enhancements.
  • Possess prior experience of supporting large scale organizations with successful ERP implementation(s).
  • Functional knowledge of HR, BN, PR

Responsibilities

  • Perform the detailed design of application and technical architecture components.
  • Configure, build, and test the application or technical architecture components.
  • Work with other developers, designers, and architects to make sure that the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals.
  • Follow good security coding practices to ensure the application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Inform the technical architect and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project.
  • Participate in transitions of the application or technical architecture components to the testers.
  • Fix any defects and performance problems discovered in testing.
  • Document the application to facilitate maintenance.
  • Assist in defining and reviewing the technical requirements for the application, including security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements.
  • Design individual technology components of the application development, execution, or operations architecture.
