About The Position

Responsible for leading the inside sales team, driving sales growth, and ensuring the team builds strong relationships with existing and new customers. Partners with the outside sales team to ensure inside sales processes and metrics are in place to achieve revenue targets, maximize sales and drive performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in inside and/or outside sales, preferably in material handling or related industry. Prior leadership experience and/or leadership skills and training strongly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Quality conscious with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience working in cross functional teams and engaging with senior leadership.
  • Competent in workplace tools including Microsoft Office, Salesforce and ERP systems.
  • Current, valid Driver’s License.
  • Physical Requirements include twisting, turning, grasping, reaching, pulling, extended periods of standing, and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
  • At least four (4) years of service in inside sales; inside sales management experience highly desirable.
  • Current, valid Driver's License.
  • Competent in key workplace tools such as Microsoft Office, Salesforce and ERP systems

Responsibilities

  • Leads, motivates, and coaches the inside sales team to ensure goals, key performance indicators (KPI’s) and revenue targets are achieved while providing exceptional customer service. Drives on time, accurate and complete (OTAC) throughout the selling process from request for quote (RFQ) to sales order capture.
  • Enhances and streamlines all inside sales processes with a focus on quality and customer experience, continuous improvement, reporting and metrics. Effectively utilizes Salesforce to support and measure inside sales processes. Ensures data integrity both in Salesforce and the quote log.
  • Establishes key metrics for inside sales and holds team accountable for achievement.
  • Collaborates with key departments including engineering, marketing, finance and operations to improve processes both inter and intra-departmentally.
  • Seeks new customer opportunities and maintains current customer relationships to achieve sales goals. Works with outside sales team to ensure effective processes are in place to support lead follow-up.
  • Monitors and leverages customer feedback (voice of the customer, customer service, etc.) to improve customer experience, gain market insights, new product development, and additional sales opportunities.
  • Responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, development and performance management and goal setting which includes ongoing and annual performance evaluations.
  • Drives engagement and employee ownership, creating a culture where people are motivated to do their best to achieve company objectives.
