The Department of Philosophy at Ave Maria University invites applications for a one-year renewal position in philosophy for the University’s Ireland program at Mount Melleray, commencing in the fall semester of 2026: https://www.avemaria.edu/ireland. Applicants from all areas of philosophy within the Catholic intellectual tradition are welcome to apply. The primary duties of this position include regular instruction (on a 3-3 or 4-4 courseload depending on rank) of philosophy courses in the undergraduate core curriculum, active personal mentoring and social involvement in the daily life of the University’s Ireland program, the pursuit of an active research program that includes scholarly publications (for the rank of assistant professor), and engagement in service to the University. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in Philosophy, conferred by July 1, 2026; strong teaching credentials with a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education and the Catholic liberal arts tradition; an active research program; and a dedication to the University’s mission as expressed in Ex Corde Ecclesiae [https://www.vatican.va/content/john-paul-ii/en/apost_constitutions/documents/hf_jp-ii_apc_15081990_ex-corde-ecclesiae.html].
