About The Position

Under supervision: mow, weed, rake, hedge trim, plant flowers, sweep walkways and parking lots, remove litter, and upkeep outdoor furniture. Plant, feed, prune, and otherwise care for trees/shrubs around MBL campus. Assist the Shipping, Receiving & Mail Assistant when necessary, with receiving and delivering mail to and from the US Post Office and established MBL mail Receive in and inspect all packages to ensure no damage. Under supervision, assist in moving materials for labs to and from MBL warehouses Provide assistance to other departments as directed by Supervisor. Work inside buildings during inclement weather by sweeping, mopping, cleaning labs, etc., as directed by Supervisor. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.

Requirements

Post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and drug test required
Worker must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with favorable driving record
Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and some evenings

Nice To Haves

At least sixteen (18) years of age at time of hire or a high school graduate
Previous landscaping experience preferred
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to follow instructions and maintain a high level of productivity
Ability to operate mowers, spreaders, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment
Ability to operate pallet jack
