Seasonal Landscape/ Material Handling Staff
About The Position
• Under supervision: mow, weed, rake, hedge trim, plant flowers, sweep walkways and parking lots, remove litter, and upkeep outdoor furniture. • Plant, feed, prune, and otherwise care for trees/shrubs around MBL campus. • Assist the Shipping, Receiving & Mail Assistant when necessary, with receiving and delivering mail to and from the US Post Office and established MBL mail • Receive in and inspect all packages to ensure no damage. • Under supervision, assist in moving materials for labs to and from MBL warehouses • Provide assistance to other departments as directed by Supervisor. • Work inside buildings during inclement weather by sweeping, mopping, cleaning labs, etc., as directed by Supervisor. • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
Requirements
- Post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and drug test required
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license with favorable driving record
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and some evenings
Nice To Haves
- At least sixteen (18) years of age at time of hire or a high school graduate
- Previous landscaping experience preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain a high level of productivity
- Ability to operate mowers, spreaders, trimmers, and other landscaping equipment
- Ability to operate pallet jack
- Training on equipment will be provided
