As a Front Desk Security Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will be the first point of contact for employees, tenants, and guests, helping support a welcoming, secure environment. You will manage access control and badge activity, monitor lobby activity, document incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Operate the front desk post by greeting and directing visitors, issuing visitor passes and/or badges, verifying identification and/or authorization, and maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarms, access control systems, and other building systems from the desk area, reporting unusual activity to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting building management and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
  • Complete required reports and documentation, including incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoff notes, and communicate key information to oncoming personnel and site contacts.
