As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help manage entry points at a professional location by greeting employees and visitors, verifying credentials, issuing badges, and maintaining accurate logs. You will monitor activity through rounds and observation, respond to security-related concerns, and communicate clearly with site contacts. Requirements

  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, confirming authorization, issuing temporary credentials when directed, and maintaining visitor, vendor, and/or contractor logs.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems as assigned; report irregular activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
