As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a residential apartment community, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support residents and guests with clear communication and customer service. You will respond to calls, document observations, and coordinate with your team to deliver through teamwork, integrity, and a caring culture that puts people first at Allied Universal.

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a residential apartment community.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, corridors, parking areas, amenities, and the property perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify maintenance and access concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including noise complaints, disturbances, unauthorized persons, and property issues, and escalate to local authorities when needed.
• Monitor access points and property activity, assist with visitor and vendor verification per site procedures, and help to maintain controlled entry in common areas.
• Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to onsite management and/or Allied Universal leadership, and support site-specific customer service expectations.
