About The Position

Pace Life Sciences is seeking a Senior Account Executive within our Technical Field Service Division. This person will have the exciting opportunity to drive the sale of our full range of products and services, which include: Laboratory Instrument repair and maintenance, laboratory relocation, and facility services. This role incorporates a broad range of account management activities, from customer collaborations to coordinating with local operational colleagues, to providing technical consultative sales in pharma, biopharma, life science research, materials, and a wide range of applications. The desired candidate should be highly self-motivated to develop and implement a territorial business plan, while working in unison with their manager in order to deliver a strong call cycle and business development activities. The foundation of the Account Executive role is to develop a keen understanding of the customers' needs to design solutions with lasting and meaningful impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in chemistry, biology, or biochemistry, or equivalent experience required
  • 4+ years of relevant account management and sales experience are required
  • Familiarity with liquid chromatography (HPLC, UHPLC) required
  • Mass spectrometry (LC-MS, GC-MS) and gas chromatography (GC, GC-MS) required, ideally both instrumentation and analytical consumables
  • Valid Driver's License
  • 35% travel required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical laboratory workflows and applications desired
  • Sales Force experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed sales targets
  • Maintain contract renewal rates of above 95%
  • Aggressively develop new prospects and penetrate competitive accounts
  • Visit customers daily to highlight Pace solutions and help customers with any technical obstacles in their way
  • Build technical proficiency on Pace solution and to be perceived by customers as a credible resource
  • Maintain current knowledge on vertical markets dynamics, application trends, and other critical business information
  • Fully utilize of our Sales Contact Management Tools and Applications
  • Submit accurate and timely monthly sales forecasts
  • Develop business through monthly plan of action
  • Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
