OVERVIEW We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Associate to join our Marion team. Due to the size and structure of this location, this role provides cross functional support across both tax and audit teams, working on distinct engagements under appropriate supervision. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in accounting and analytics, thrives in a collaborative environment, and contributes to accurate financial reporting, analysis and process improvement for a diverse client base.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of GAAP and tax basis accounting (cash and accrual).
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online, Desktop and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with CCH.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and time management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar tax/accounting role is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process Federal and State tax compliance reporting and assist with individual and entity returns.
  • Perform general accounting functions including reconciliations, bookkeeping, payroll support, and financial data maintenance.
  • Assist with audit and attest engagements, including fieldwork support, internal control testing, and preparation of working papers.
  • Analyze financial and operational processes to support accurate reporting and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage assigned tasks to meet engagement timelines and budgeted hours,
  • Maintain accurate documentation, follow firm file-management protocols, and protect client confidentiality.
  • Complete required training and support general firm operations as needed.
