About The Position

The C-UAS The Site Logistics & Property Coordinator is the central node for receiving, warehousing, issuing, tracking, and recovering all program property—commercial and government‑furnished (GFE)—that supports the DHS Counter‑Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C‑UAS) mission. This position stands up and runs the logistics hub orchestrates inbound/outbound shipments to labs, ranges, and operational sites, and maintains audit‑ready asset records from receipt through final disposition. The coordinator partners closely with engineering, test & evaluation, deployment, and cybersecurity teams to ensure every trailer kit, sensor, C2 compute stack, spare, and tool is where it needs to be, when it needs to be there, with documentation that enables acceptance, accreditation, and fielding decisions.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S citizen with an ACTIVE security clearance of at least the SECRET level.
  • Associate's in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a technical discipline OR equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years in logistics, supply chain, warehouse/site operations, and/or property control supporting complex field programs (defense, public safety, aerospace, telecom, or similar).
  • Proven experience operating a property/asset management system with serialized tracking and audit trails; strong Excel/Sheets skills for reporting and data validation.
  • Hands‑on experience with kitting for deployments or complex assemblies; familiarity with calibration programs and tool‑crib operations.
  • Demonstrated success planning LTL/FTL and expedited shipments, coordinating dock/yard activity, and executing reverse logistics.
  • Strong documentation discipline; ability to produce audit‑ready files and reconcile discrepancies with clear corrective actions.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, operate material‑handling equipment safely, and work in warehouse/yard conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain the program property system of record, ensuring complete asset pedigrees.
  • Create and administer hand receipt processes for deployed assets; reconcile custody quarterly and at event closeout.
  • Maintain calibration and certification status for meters, torque tools, RF analyzers, load bars, lifting slings, and safety equipment; track due dates and coordinate vendor services.
  • Prepare and support internal and external audits/inventories; investigate and resolve discrepancies, documenting corrective actions.
  • Stand up and manage stockroom/warehouse and fenced yard: bin location schema, min/max levels, climate/storage constraints, HAZMAT segregation, ESD controls, and tool crib issuance.
  • Build kitting structures for trailer assemblies, test events, and spares packages; perform kit issue/return with variance reporting and replenishment triggers.
  • Manage packing/marking standards (rugged cases, shock mounts, foam, desiccants, ATA cases) and maintain a pool of reusable shipping containers/pallets.
  • Implement material handling and safety procedures (PPE, forklift/hoist, fall protection as applicable); maintain facility equipment (pallet jacks, scales, labelers, printers).
  • Oversee facility consumables (labels, tamper seals, pallets, dunnage, desiccants) and operational sustainment supplies.
  • Plan and execute inbound/outbound freight: small parcel, LTL/FTL, hot shots, white glove technical moves, and international shipments if required; obtain liftgate/inside delivery and off hours appointments as needed.
  • Generate shipping documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, export declarations where applicable, site receiving instructions) and ensure chain of custody is preserved.
  • Coordinate deployment logistics for live fly/test events: staging windows, dock times, marshaling zones, laydown footprint, and reverse logistics plans; maintain real time movement trackers for critical assets.
  • Arrange field sustainment: spares caches, rapid replace kits, and replenishment cycles during multi week events.
  • Ensure property records reference the correct configuration IDs (hardware rev, firmware image, OS build, enclosure type), synchronizing with engineering configuration management and change notices.
  • Collect and file certs and evidence accompanying assets (calibration certs, firmware checksums, COAs/warranties, safety data sheets, acceptance test records) to keep the program’s evidence library audit ready.
  • Support Disposition Readiness: wipe/sanitize media per program policy; document de installation notes and return to stock inspections.
  • Maintain audit ready documentation and physical controls for government furnished property and sensitive items; promptly report loss/damage/theft and lead root cause/corrective actions.
  • Drive process improvements (cycle counting, ABC analysis, reorder point tuning, kitting optimization, freight consolidation, return material velocity).
  • Publish KPIs weekly/monthly and facilitate stand ups to address back orders, aging RMAs, and upcoming demand spikes (tests, deployments, surge events).
