Reporting to the Director of Continuous Improvement, you will lead the execution of Statistical Process Control across Conagra Brands’ manufacturing network. You’ll translate enterprise Statistical Process Control strategy into practical, scalable site‑level execution that reduces process variation, eliminates waste, and strengthens compliance with food safety, regulatory, customer, and consumer requirements. You’ll serve as the primary deployment and change leader for Statistical Process Control, working directly with plant teams to embed SPC into daily management systems, line structures, and standard work to ensure adoption, sustainment, and measurable operational results. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Execute the rollout of SPC methodologies, control plans, and digital tools across assigned manufacturing sites. Lead plant‑level SPC pilots, validate effectiveness, and scale solutions across similar processes and product categories. Translate enterprise SPC standards into clear, practical site procedures and standard work. Ensure SPC is embedded into daily line structure routines, escalation processes, and performance reviews. Partner directly with site engineers, process experts, and operations leaders to build SPC capability. Deliver hands‑on training, on‑the_floor coaching, and structured problem‑solving sessions to ensure practical application of SPC. Support operators and frontline leaders in interpreting control charts and executing defined SPC reaction plans. Reinforce change management through engagement, accountability, and sustained use of SPC tools. Partner with Industrial Engineering and site teams to analyze process variation, yield loss, and defect trends using SPC data. Facilitate structured root cause analysis using SPC data to stabilize processes and improve capability. Drive improvements in process capability indices, defect rates, and waste reduction through disciplined SPC execution. Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance, and the Conagra Performance System. Deploy and support SPC software, dashboards, and real‑time monitoring tools in collaboration with Information Technology and Digital Operations. Ensure SPC data accuracy, chart integrity, and effective visualization for operator and leader decision‑making. Use SPC data to enable predictive insights and proactive intervention at the line and process level. Ensure deployed SPC systems support food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including Food and Drug Administration, United States Department of Agriculture, Global Food Safety Initiative, and customer standards. Support audits by maintaining SPC documentation, evidence of control, and continuous improvement records. Monitor SPC adoption and sustainability metrics, escalate gaps, and partner with sites to close them. Provide feedback to enterprise teams on SPC deployment lessons learned and improvement opportunities. Ingredients Required for Your Success Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Statistics, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Seven or more years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or process engineering roles with direct Statistical Process Control implementation experience. Demonstrated success deploying Statistical Process Control at the plant level in a large, multi‑site, regulated manufacturing environment. Experience working directly with operations, engineering, and quality teams in plant settings. Hands‑on expertise with process control tools, including control charts, process capability analysis, measurement system analysis, and basic design of experiments. Experience using Statistical Process Control and analytics software such as Minitab, JMP, InfinityQS, or Power BI. Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance, or comparable continuous improvement systems. Strong execution and change leadership presence in manufacturing environments. Experience coaching operators, engineers, and leaders with varying levels of statistical knowledge. Clear, practical communication style that translates data into actionable insights. Consistent bias for action with disciplined follow‑through.
