The Kane County Cougars are hiring Stand Managers to lead day-to-day operations at our concession stands during home games and special events. This role is ideal for individuals with leadership experience in food service or customer-facing roles who are passionate about teamwork, efficiency, and delivering excellent guest service. As a Stand Manager, you’ll be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring food safety compliance, and maintaining inventory levels—all while helping fans enjoy a top-notch ballpark experience. Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in food service, concessions, or retail management strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to stay calm and organized in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
  • Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the season.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of concession stand employees (cashiers, cooks, runners, etc.)
  • Oversee stand setup, food prep, and break down before and after events.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and adherence to POS procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all health and safety standards.
  • Train and coach team members to uphold high-quality service and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor inventory, minimize waste, and report supply needs to Concessions Manager.
  • Resolve customer service issues quickly and professionally.
  • Communicate with upper management and kitchen staff to ensure smooth stand operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
